DTN is not just an experiment in a governmental or academic lab somewhere. NASA is deeply committed to DTN, as this video explains. NASA is using DTN for earth-to-payload communications on the International Space Station today. Beyond that, NASA and other national space agencies are moving forward to formally adopt DTN as the international standard for space data communications.
